A contract courier is an independent contractor who provides delivery services using their own vehicle under an ABN. As a custm contract courier you operate your own business and take on shifts or jobs through the custm platform.

custm works with small vans (Transits, Sprinters), medium and large trucks (Pantech, Tautliner), and semi-trailers. Your vehicle must be roadworthy, insured, and comply with all state regulations.

Yes. All custm drivers must hold a valid ABN. Register free at abr.gov.au.

Drivers are paid weekly. Your invoice is generated automatically from completed shifts and jobs. See Driver Pay Rates above for your state’s rate card.

At minimum: CTP, comprehensive vehicle insurance, goods in transit / cargo insurance, and public liability (minimum $10M recommended).

Notify custm and the client as soon as possible. Repeated no-shows without adequate notice may affect access to future shifts.

  • Maintain a roadworthy, clean vehicle
  • Complete deliveries within the agreed timeframe
  • Follow all road safety laws and client site rules
  • Keep compliance documents (licence, insurance, rego) current
  • Complete required induction and safety training
  • Represent the custm brand professionally at all times

Yes. custm has rental arrangements with Budget, Deol, and Hertz (WA). See Contract Couriers Vehicle Rent forms in the Forms section above.
